Join us in Colorado
February 13-15, 2026

Learn to ski this winter.
Join us at Latigo Ranch, for our seventh annual weekend-long, women’s-only ski retreat. Owned and operated by the George Family, Latigo is a guest ranch that transforms into a nordic ski haven each winter. With 50 kms of trails groomed for skate and classic skiing, cozy cabins with private rooms, wood-burning stoves, and home-cooked meals, Latigo is a pretty special corner of our state.

About last year…
“I cannot say enough about this retreat. Whitney made learning to skate ski SO fun and approachable—even for me (a total newbie). I learned a ton over the course of the weekend, and yoga with Gina was the PERFECT compliment to the weekend’s skate ski offerings (and I don’t usually do yoga!). I left the weekend feeling rejuvenated, stoked to skate ski more often, and incredibly bonded to this awesome group of women. I’ll definitely be back next year.”

Frequently Asked Questions
-
We focus on skate skiing: a type of cross-country skiing or Nordic skiing that is performed on groomed ski trails at Nordic centers. Our attendees are always welcome to bring or rent classic skis, but there will be no classic instruction.
-
No. Classic skiing is another type of cross-country skiing or Nordic skiing, in which your skis have fish scales or skins on the bottom. This is also a technique practiced at Nordic centers, but as of right now we can only focus on one type of skiing. If you have your own classic skis and would like to ski independently, you are more than welcome to!
-
Beginners are welcome, and it’s typical for at least half of our group to have never been on skate skis before. This is why we have two instructors so that we can split up based on our existing skill level.
-
Of course not! You can snowshoe, go fat biking (bring your gear!), relax in the hot tub, chill in your cabin or room, or read a book. We encourage you to make this weekend exactly right for you.
-
Latigo Ranch is able to accommodate just about any dietary restriction as long as we have advanced notice. That being said, if you have a particularly restrictive diet we ask that you be sure to bring snacks so that you never go hungry.
